Um...so now this is the second time I have written this post. The first one was lost into the depths of the interweb.
But anyway, the Wednesday Blahs are back in full force.
Two great, hard working people were let go today from my company. And I don't have a heck of a lot to say about it other than I know the economy is tough right now but they will be missed regardless. And I am thankful I still have a job in this horrible economic situation (especially for the arts field as most do not need that sort of thing in there company to survive...)
Anyways, I don't know if many people do this but I often get stuck in these musical loops where I cant stop listening to certain music. And I mean I literally get stuck. My senior year of art school I listened to Tom Petty's Wildflowers album on repeat for around 4 months, but probably more. My entire thesis was done to that album so it had the same look and feel... Now I am on to new music that I can't stop and I don't necessary want to stop listening to. Either way, the latest music on repeat has been:
Tunng (all of it)
Pariah Beat(whoo local boston music!!)
Magnetic Fields (once again all of it) and
Daft Punk (specifically the song something about us)
Animal Collective (just about all of it but especially Peacebone)...
And so I leave you with some depressing beach images from the Indiana Dunes. Unfortunately the meaning in the images is lost in translation but i will say that it has to do with change and the impermanence of life...The wind was blowing so hard that as soon as you wrote something in the sand the wind covered it up with new sand..
On a much happier note I go on vacation tomorrow to visit some family. Hurrah!

Frankly, I AM SHOCKED! I DEMAND that you purchase crocs, IMMEDIATELY! (just kidding ... sorta :0)
The economy is a bummer, no doubt. In an odd way though, I'm hoping all of this will make people focus on more important things (like art for example) even if just a little. Maybe I'm hopelessly optimistic?
Have a great vacay and hurry back ...
